Help Advertising Property

The fields with the * are mandatory.

Number or name of house	The name or number of the property you wish to sell.
Street/road/lane name	The whole street/road/lane name eg. Regent Street, Penny Lane. This is a mandatory field.
Name of area in town/city	If the property is situated in a particular area within the town or city, then you can optionally enter this. For example Piccadily.
City town or village name	The whole city, town or village name, or the name of the nearest city, town or village to your property. This gives prospective buyers help in working out where your property is. This is a mandatory field.
Area/district in county/countryside	You can optionally enter an area or district in the county or the countryside if appropriate to the property. For example The Lake District.
County	The county the property is situated in.
Zip / postal code	The zip or postal code the property is situated in.
State	Enter the full name of the state if relevant to the country your property is situated in or leave blank if not.
Country	Choose one of the listed countries or if your is not listed click on the link for a more extensive list.
Contact daytime telephone number	Your telephone number in the day.
Evening telephone number if different	Your telephone number in the evening.
E-Mail address	Your email address so interested buyers can contact you. This also servers as your user id should you wish to log in to update your property details, or remove your property from the database.
Summary of property	Space for you to give any information you wish to give on the property. There is a maximum of 2000 characters.
Price	The price you wish to sell your property for.
Picture of property	You can optionally submit a picture of your property. We accept .jpg and .png files. There is a limit in size of 100k to the picture.
Property type	Select your type of property from the list. Should a relevant category not be available you can choose 'other' for the property type and enter your own type in the category below.
Number of bedrooms	The number of bedrooms of the property. If the are not any enter 0.

Help Searching for a Property

Below are descriptions of each field.

Street/Road/Lane Name:	There are three possible methods of filling in this catagory, the first is the name of the street/road/lane that you want to search for houses on. The name has to be in full ie. Regent Street, if only Regent was entered, results from Regent street would not appear in the results page. The second method, if you are unsure of the full name, is to use the wildcard. The wildcard is the character % . To use this method you would enter Regent% this would bring up results for Regent Road, Regent Street, Regent Lane and anything else starting in Regent. Finally the catagory can be left blank, this means you are searching for a property on any street/road/lane.
Name of Area In Town/City:	The area in the Town/City can be filled in if the property you want is in a distinct area within the city eg Piccadilly could be entered if you wanted a house in Picadilly in London. If unsure of the full name the wildcard can again be used as explained in the above paragraph. Finally the catagory can be left empty if you dont know the area in the Town/City, you do not think the catagory applies to your search or if you want all areas to be shown.
City,Town or Village name:	Fill in the city town or village name as appropriate or leave blank if you have no preference. Alternativly you can use the wildcard as explained in the first paragraph.
Area/District in County/Countryside	This section is also optional, if the house you desire is situated in a distinct area eg. The Lake District, you would enter %Lake% or %Lake District%. The first (%Lake%) would cover you for every eventuality, such as The Lake District, The Lakes, Lake District, Lakes. This can be important because when selling a house the person entering the details can refer to the same area in several ways.
County	Enter the full name of the relavent county, or part and use the wildcard. Alternatively leave blank for any county.
State	Enter the full name of the relavent state if you are searching in a country with states or leave blank if not. Alternatively enter part of the state and use the wildcard or leave blank for any state.
Country	Choose one of the listed countries or if your is not listed click on the link for a more extensive list.
Price	Select the relevent price bracket or 'All Prices' for any price.
Property Type	Select the relevent property type or select 'Other' for a property type not listed. Alternativly select 'All Types' for any type of property.
Number of bedrooms	Select the relevent number of bedrooms or 'Any number' for any number of bedrooms. If you want a premises with no bedrooms for example a shop, select '0'.
